Like iChat, not much to it. The option to "Allow Client Backups" was chosen when the server was set up. After set up, the network Time Machine may be switched On or Off using the Server Preferences application.

For a standard user logged in on a client machine..

• Click "Time Machine" in the Menu Bar
• Open Time Machine Preferences..
• Click "Select disk.. and make the selection.
• Choose a location on a network server
  


