Adding OS X Snow Leopard Clients

A tiny trick speeds services setup.

Short version, from client login, remove the "Network Account Server" listing. System Preferences->Accounts->Login options->Network Account Server.. then the minus sign in the Directory utility screen to remove the Network server. Then add that Network Account Server right back in. Services setup will then be automatically configure for that "new" server.

The user must then logout. At the next login, all services configured on the server are automatically set up.

Address Book, iChat, iCal and Mail are setup automatically with no need to visit any additional preferences screens.

Other clients

Several ways to setup network services for clients, some easier, some more difficult, depending upon operating system and client software for accessing the services.
