This assumes the availability of a screen sharing connection to the mini. If cannot get to screen sharing, firewire to another Mac is an option.

Remote Disc

Apple Remote Disc technology, well tested and proven on the Macbook Air, is available on the Mini Server. Essentially it allows using any network connected Mac with an optical disk drive to act as the optical drive of the Remote Disc equipped machine.

  • Allow DVD sharing on the client from System Preferences->Sharing..
